There’s also a wooded area to explore where you can look for birds, squirrels and other woodland animals.

Butterfly House
One of the highlights of Victoria Park is its beautiful butterfly house/ greenhouse.. The butterfly house has a wide range of plants and flowers, including some rare and exotic species. While the Butterfly house is the main talking point, there are some ovely garden areas that are great for a family picnic or activities for your children.
Play Area and Recreation
Families with kids shouldn’t miss the play area in Victoria Park. It has swings, slides, climbing frames, a sandpit and a water play section that kids will love. For those interested in sports, there are fields and courts for football, basketball and other activities to stay active and have fun. There are also Woodland Walks where your kids can feed the squirrels and see some wonderful wildlife.
Scenic Lake
The picturesque lake is one of Victoria Park’s most charming features. Initially built as a reservoir for nearby industries, the lake is now home to various wildlife such as ducks, swans and geese. It’s a serene spot to enjoy nature’s beauty and maybe feed the ducks.
Sports Facilities
Beyond the play area and sports fields, Victoria Park has more to offer for sports enthusiasts. A skate park provides a space for skateboarders and BMX riders to show off their skills. Esposito’s Cafe in Widnes
Esposito’s is a family-owned business that has been serving delicious ice cream for over 40 years. Our Ice Cream parlour is well known and loved for its homemade gelato in a variety of different flavours, including Strawberry, rich chocolate, blue raspberry and Kookie Caramel. In addition to delicious ice cream, our main cafe in Widnes also offers a variety of other food items, such as artisan sandwiches and homemade cakes and of course, authentic Italian coffee. Esposito’s Deli is located in the heart of Victoria Park, opposite the bandstand, making it the perfect place to stop for a cool treat after a day of exploring open 9am to 5pm 7 days a week. The Ice Cream Parlour at the top of the park next to the playground is open during peak times and holidays. At eiither the Parlor or main Deli, you can enjoy its delicious ice cream no matter what the weather may be doing.
